You had me at the first paragraph. It's so tragic on so many levels. The whole fic is just perfect, especially the lack of regret. Montague might be aware of what he lost/what he could have had, but he seems not to regret making different decisions and I like that because it rings true after DH and all of Slytherin House walking out.

I just realized I forgot to say "I hope you're better now." Blame the awesomeness of this fic for making me forget my manners. :P I hope you're better now and thank you for writing for me.

I'm feeling a bit better, but this cold seems to be hanging on. Blah...

I'm glad you liked the fic. You're right that Montague doesn't regret his choices. He has a moment where he thinks about what would've happened if he had gone to Hogwarts, but it's more about considering the possibilities than regret.

I can't see any of the Slytherins regretting walking out. Why would they? Doing what's right is great and all when you've been told you're the good guys your whole life.

I kind of feel bad for not being able to write happy fic, but Angelina and Montague are so tragic, as you said.

Really interesting fic dealing with what might have happened to all the various minor-player Slytherin characters. I spotted someone (I think redcandle?) reccing it as I was skimming around for fics.
