a note from the underground

The worst thing about being sick is that it messes up the habits I've been trying to cultivate. Instead of reading and writing steadily, for the past few days I've been sitting in bed wallowing in tissues and snot. Not a lovely image, I know. I've puttered around in the Internet here and there but I lacked the motivation to participate. It's only ( Read more... )

life, writing

Three men I'm calling dibs on right now for writing purposes: Chris Pine (I've already got a fic in mind where he's the image of my lead), Anton Yelchin (I've loved him since Spielberg's miniseries Taken), and Sam Worthington. I'll cut anyone who tries anything.

Are you writing them as their recent characters or using them as muses a la Christian Bale!Montague?

I'm using them as muses. I'm not that interested in Terminator or Kirk to write fanfic. However, I do have to wonder if anyone has ever written any Terminator movie fanfic.

I think I love the way you're able to finish a fic completely before posting, that's something I hope to work on. I'm cool with the one shots, but I'd love to do it with my multi-chapters too, I think it would be less stressful to update then.

I hope you feel better. Being sick sucks.

The few times I posted fics without finishing them, I lost interest and stopped updating. I don't ever want them to happen again. Plus, since I never write without an outline I go back and change things frequently. I don't think you have to worry about finishing stuff since you write with outlines and get your fics done.

Thanks. I'm feeling better now. If I can get through the summer without getting sick again, I'll be very happy.

Okay, about Worthington now. You know I'm going to have to hunt you down now.

I'm glad you're feeling better. And writing again! \0/. That's awesome :) I'm looking forward to the end result. And happy about your job interview. I beat my students on the regular so I'm starting to think it's not such a biggy in a academia ;)

*steps all up in your dibs*

You and me gonna have to talk about Sam Worthington. I've had my eye on him every since I partook of the crack fic that was Terminator Salvation. He gives me butterflies *g*

I do have to wonder if anyone has ever written any Terminator movie fanfic.

You know, I'm kind of fixated on CB's portrayal of Conner at the moment. He just seems so fucked up to me, I've actually given it some thought.

I really shouldn't talk about that time I took off my belt in my class that one time. To make matters worse it was after we watched an episode of The Boondocks. The kids call me Grandpa!

Alright, so it looks like we're all going to have to share Worthington. Damn! I'll keep Anton and Captain Fine to myself :P

John Connor was fucked up and Salvation was crack fic. I really want to know how in the hell Kate deals with him. Knowing you're the saviour of mankind would put anyone on edge.

Ha! I bet everyone got an A on the next exam :p

Yes, you have to share Worthington. But I will back off Anton and Chris Pine. Though Chris does have sexy, furry eyebrows. I love those. :D

I think that's what appeals to me. The scenes where he's in the room listening to Sarah's tapes over and over are what did for me. How does a guy raised believing he's a prophet not get a God complex. And as for Kate, well I could see him impregnating her for the "cause." Repopulating the earth all that.

As you can see, I've given this quite a bit of thought..
