State Farm and the local mail people can kiss my ass and go to Hell....looks like my insurance is getting cancelled in about 10 hours, so I won't be able to drive :(
I wrote a check out for my insurance for November like a month ago (I have the carbon copy to prove it), and they must've lost it in the mail because I had a letter waiting for me when I went home for Thanksgiving, saying that if I didn't pay my payment by like the 7th (tomorrow), my insurance gets cancelled at 12:01 AM. I called and asked if I could Western Union the money, I tried to get electronic transfer, I tried everything I could think of. And these mofos tell me to wait until Monday morning when my local agent opens back up...after my insurance is cancelled. But they can't tell me I can't drive my own car, the car I"m paying 250 a month for, because of the mail man's dumb mistake....ugh, I could eat glass right now!
Have you checked with your bank to see if that check ever cleared your account? At any rate, SF should be able to backdate your coverage and rescind the cancellation as long as you've got proof of that check and sweet talk your agent a bit. I'd also make sure that when you talk to your agent, you have times and dates when you called SF and exactly what they said to you. In my dealings with them, the agents are trying so hard not to lose business they'll be willing to cut you some slack. Good luck!!
This is the kinda stuff you studied in college....why don't YOU call them for me and tell them this shit isn't right? LOL...I'm going home tonight and I'll give them a call tomorrow and get matters taken care of...thanks again :)
That really sucks man. I know insurance companies are soooo fucked up. If you drive, be very careful, of course not driving til monday is the best thing.
If you eat ground glass, cantaloupe goes quite well with it. ;) On the other hand....don't do it.
ewwwww @ canteloupe....I think that is the nastiest stuff!
I have no choice but to drive because my roommates are going to be gone tomorrow to a wedding banquet about 2 hours away, so I'll be here alone and I have to work. My local agency is at home, 100 miles away, so I'm just going to have to play it VERY safely and drive home tomorrow night so I can get stuff taken care of on Monday morning, and look into new agencies b/c I'm definitely leaving State Farm when my 6 months end in Feb.
Hey Q, Yeah take it easy for sure. I know the tickets here in WA are around 575.00 for no insurance. I almost got one when I lived in Seattle, I was pulled over and I had left my proof of insurance at home. I had to get it and take it to a judge so they would drop the fine.
I was with State Farm a longtime ago. I thought they sucked the big fatty. I am going to be switching to Pemco next year, They are half what I am currently paying.
My brother is 18 and has a more recent version of a car than mine, and his insurance with a different carrier is like half of mine....only 300 every 6 months, whereas mine is like 600 every 6 months. So I'm definitely shopping around for new insurance.
I'll definitely be careful tonight...considering that I'm going right thru the redneck country tonight, I'd probably get a $10,000 ticket or something in the event that I got stopped, lol...I'll pray that things go smoothly. Thanks :)
LOL! Well we're going to hope that all the officers on 77 are color blind tonight, cuz I'm definitely going home!
I'll definitely add you back....I'm actually half Clemson/half Carolina blood...went to Clemson for 2 years, and transferred to Carolina, where I'll graduate in August after 2 years--I'm the ultimate traitor ;)
hahahahaha, u got called out bad, man! I don't even care much about the rivalry...it got old to me after freshman year...I lost a lot of school spirit though, and when I transferred here, I never recuperated. Ah well...what year are you at CU?
