I love Disney. I think it has something to do with the fact that I was raised on Disney movies and that they are musical, which obviously I love. I'm going to Disneyland for my birthday in 5 days and I am soooo excited. I feel like a little kid. It's actually kinda ridiculous

My roommate and I used to work as a kids counselors at this dude ranch, and we were always trying to manipulate what movie the kids watched so that it was Aladdin or Hercules or something. And then we would sit in the back and sing along with the songs and the kids would give us funny looks.
I'm so, so excited to go! Seeing the fireworks from a good vantage point is my number one priority, and I'm fairly sure my friends will go along with it since it will be my birthday and all. :)

I had sooo much fun making that playlist. Seriously. I told my friend about it, the one who is driving us to Disneyland, and she was like, "we're not going to listen to that the whole time, are we?" And I said "no, it's only 2 and a half hours long... we'll be in the car a total of 12 hours there and back." :)

You're going to have a great time. Just a hint: if you want to be in front of the castle for the fireworks, you need to stake your claim early, like 6-7pm. Seriously. Drop on a bench between Walt & the castle and just stay there. Catch the 2nd showing of Fantasmic AFTER the fireworks (hustle over to the river - you can see it from just about anywhere on the riverwalk). If you don't want to spend that much time sitting, you can wait & find a spot farther back on Main St or, as a last resort, over by Its a small world.
Let me know if you need any tips for getting around & on the rides. LOL

Thank you for the tip about the fireworks. I know last time I went to Disneyland (about a year and half ago) we sat down somewhere in front of Walt about an hour before the show, but that was a Wednesday in December and this will be a Saturday in June so I'm sure it will be quite a bit more crowded. I'm actually not too concerned about seeing Fantasmic, because I saw it 3 times the last time I went, but I dunno if my friends are gonna want to watch it. We'll see.
As far as getting around and getting on the rides, we actually have a nifty little trick up our sleeves. There is this fabulous computer program called RideMax, and it is my best friend when it comes to Disneyland trips. You put in the day you are going, the time you are getting there, and all the rides you want to go on, and it gives you this itinerary that tells you when to get in line and when to get fastpasses to minimize your time spent waiting in line. I'm a little bit OCD, can you tell? :)
