Am I REALLY possessed?!

So we had a family friend come over tonight with her mother. Let's call her "M". Her mother is suffering from Alzheimers. However was excited to come over to her best friends house. She's never out of her own house. She had EIGHT children including "M".

Anyways, "M" is IN LOVE with Jesus Christ. I AM not kidding. I am completely serious. She is so ( Read more... )

This reminds me of the time that my mother (who is barely Catholic) made me go to a faith healing service, because she thought maybe if people prayed for me, I'd magically be better. To be fair, I'm not sure she actually believed that. I think she just drank the Kool-Aid her coworker gave her and thought we should try anything once.

I'm surprised no one's held me down and thrown holy water on me yet, honestly. hah.

No offense to M, but this type of talk always makes me laugh. I'm not one who is fully sure I believe in psychics and whatnot, and at the same time, I also know there are far too many things in this world that cannot be explained, and who am I to say they exist or not ( ... )

OH!!! Don't forget that you can't eat meat on Fridays, and that you have to confess your sins to a priest (and make sure you mean it, because you will go to hell if you don't). I grew up in a strict Roman Catholic household and I have to say that some of the traditions are a little out there. I have no problem with any religion, but it's just not for me.

Ouija boards are SCARY!!!! When I was a freshman in college my room mate and I decided to play with it. She had a full length mirror on her closet and when we played it, all of the candles when out and an image of a man appeared in the mirror. I jumped up and turned on the light and the image was gone but there was and outline of where he/she was in the mirror. Freaked us both out. Needless to say she got rid of that mirror and the Ouija board. Those things are no good!

These kinds of people annoy me to the point where I tend to just smile and nod at them when they say these types of things. I'm not anti-religion, but I don't want anyone forcing theirs on me. To each their own, I say. I agree, religion and going to church does not get rid of the need for medication. If religion was the cure-all for everything, then why do we have doctors and medication?

Sylvia Brown is amazing... I've seen her on tv a few times, and was very interested.
