Gives the whole thing an extra-surreal tone if you ask me chocolatebark January 6 2011, 21:35:07 UTC
Don't forget the fact that THE HERO(tm) looks like Bill Maher's wimpy little brother!

I have never seen LW2. I think I've only see the 4th one! At a drive-in, no less. Would you recommend it??

I was expecting Body Double to be campy fun, & while it does have its (gleefully sleazy) moments, I felt it was mostly too plain bad (& lacking in crafty De Palma visual pizazz) to get much enjoyment out of it.

Nevertheless, I look forward to hearing what you think.

P.S. Much different, but if you want to watch a De Palma gem, see Hi, Mom!.

Correction: I always look forward to hearing (or rather reading) what you think.

i watched and can recommend to live and die in LA, it's got plenty of great 80s assholes cops who play by their own rules and one decent guy transformed into an 80s asshole by proxy. young wiliam dafoe is a great 80s LA bag guy, a master counter fitter, a psycho boyfriend, a martial artist and a modern art painter all rolled into one. and there is some nice printmaking scenes i enjoyed.

I just want to say that I think The Black Dahlia is good, so even though your question of "anyone?" was probably rhetorical I will say "ME!"

But I am pretty psyched to watch this and Dressed To Kill sometime soon I hope (wish Netflix had them! (well it has Body Double but it's a chopped up pan-and-scan version)).
