I don't know why the had the heat cranked so high. I've never noticed such a thing before! Yeah normally I am a total coldie myself and basically always need to overdress for the weather.

the plot to roger rabbit is based on an actual event: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_American_streetcar_scandal

what gets me is the cold blooded murder in regards to dipping that shoe. also, bob hoskins is a joy to behold.

Sucksville! I am pretty sure this was played from an illegal download. The rest of the series should be interesting as well: Cleopatra Queen of Sex and Fire and Ice.

if i remember correctly, there's a segment of los angeles plays itself (which is great if you haven't seen it) about the weird socio-political subtext of who framed roger rabbit...

also, i think the controversy over the painted bird runs even deeper than allegations about holocaust porn? i remember reading that kosinski pretended that he witnessed events like the ones in the book and it was later revealed that he spent WWII in relatively bourgeois surroundings? i could be wrong though. i remember when i was reading it, i started to think it was feeling a bit false and then i read a few articles about the controversy and abandoned it halfway through. i'm pretty misanthropic, but i guess i'm not THAT misanthropic, haha.

Yeah, I approached it (not knowing the surrounding controversial) purely as a work of fiction, so it was maybe more palatable. (uh, not that the content is "palatable" in any way). It's pretty shitty for someone to try and pass this brutal of a story off as nonfiction no matter what he was actually doing, but it seems so much worse if he passed the war in relative comfort and safety.
