A lot of horror films I want to see/haven't seen yet! Did you like Popeye? I used to really dislike it, but I've been kind of a re-kick of Altman the last little while and I'm a lot more favorably biased towards Shelley Duvall these days, so I'm wondering if I'd enjoy it more
While I watching it, I really hated it. The person who presented it was Zak Sally who was in Low and who does comic books around town, and the first thing I said when it was over was, "I'm mad at you, Zak Sally." It's really an endurance test to get through it.
HOWEVER, it perfectly captured the spirit of the event, which was for Zak to defend it to us all. And he did. He honestly loves it and finds it almost perfect, and I was able to see it through his eyes a little bit. His comics strongly draw from the set design of that movie, which is admittedly really cool.
The songs are terrible and the movie is totally chaotic and just seemed like nonsensical, noisy jabbering the whole time, but apparently it does hold some charms for some people.
Um, I actually felt the same about The Innkeepers as I did about House of the Devil- that they both had a lot of build-up that was supposed to be suspenseful but that just seemed pokey and boring to me. Unfortunately, where I found that to at least be skillfully calculated in House of the Devil, it seemed sort of amatuerish and frustrating in The Innkeepers. The twist was sort of interesting to me, but others might find it cheap.
You know, inadvertently, I already did! I have them in chronological order, but it works as quality, too. Well, actually the doritos loco taco was a little better than the other bean/veg one I had, which was very bland. Real authentic East Lake tacos made by non-white people just weren't really meant to be vegetarian, I think (although I make kick-ass veg ones at home using beans, lentils, grilled veggies, fake-meat and etc).
