Mind you, I have had a hankering to run a Wind In The Willows based tabletop for a while, based on Winter In The Willows - post apocalyptic steampunk. This requires anthropomorphic miniatures. Cheshire Steam Fair in Daresbury!
There was a fair. A couple of the rides were steam powered. There were also many many traction engines, including some tiny little 1/3 scale working models. Absolutely adorable things! Lots of vintage cars, including a rare example of a Reliant Regal Supervan not painted to look like Delboy's car. ( Read more... ) -

I always like Bristol. It comes with a lot of happy memories.

Too many RPGs. Too little time. Too few players
I keep buying RPG books. I have loads of vague ideas, no concrete plots and no time to run them.
I've been enjoying running Spirit Of The Century, but it's not quite going how I want it. I think the system has a few issues that aren't easy to fix after the fact. Also I need more of an idea of what my damn plot is. I'm sure I can come up with ( Read more... ) -
Game Sexpo
Birmingham NEC is big! Really big. So big that you need to get a bus from the car park to the venue. This allows a lot of space for people to show off board games. And card games. And tabletop roleplaying games.

Weather wasn't really good enough for gardening. Flickums overslept. Decided to see trains on the Bank Holiday Monday.
East Lancashire Railway was doing a 40's weekend.
