I'm glad you're back! I was just thinking about you and this series the other day and I figured you probably had a Real Life (I know how that goes, btw...just finished another 10-hour day in the 9-5 office world!). I'm glad to see you've escaped RL for at least a short while again:)
And I'm SO glad the moment with Ginny here was just part of the test. I didn't believe her either, but at first I thought that SHE might have believed it herself, and that would have made all sorts of trouble for Harry. Much relieved to find out it was only a part she was playing! Interesting how it was part of Draco's test, but it also affected Harry as well.
And you write the sex so nicely. it's not cheesy like a bad romance novel. Instead it is intense and real and very moving. You show the emotional core of them as well as just the physical aspects. Very much enjoyed, as always!
Yess....Ginny...my dislike for her in the books manifests itself strangely in my fic...I have plans for her in this one, but of course I cannot reveal!
So happy you liked the sex- I always worry over it. Too much detail, too little, pacing etc...so much to think about!
And it was worth the wait. I like that the test was on so many levels, for each other and everyone else, and I like the way Harry's mind filtered through everything and stood firm to Draco. But I really really admire the insights into Draco's personality, how tenacious he is, so much so that self-inflicted failure is a painful option.
This other insight was marvellous: He would look intimidating to any onlooker, anyone who didn’t know him, really know him, anyone who didn’t know that Draco was never physically violent unless absolutely cornered, unless there were no other choices or resources. Anyone else would think that Draco would hedge every advantage, take every shot he could get, would bring them down in a second unless they got him first.
And the sex. Oh man, that was beautiful. That last line, the whole last section was perfect
Okay, so I just found this series and I love it. I read the whole thing from July up to now and just think that it is amazing. I can totally see how Harry would realize how much he likes Draco right when he almost ends it all. Thank you for sharing. May I please friend you for updates?
