♢♦feathers
At the beginning of the series, Sakura grows wings on her back that scatter into feathers, which are fragments of her soul. Without them, she will die. Being a part of her soul, they give her energy and also contain her memories. However, the price Sakura paid to Yuuko in order to travel across dimensions to search for her feathers are her memories of Syaoran. The feathers themselves possess an incredible magical power to protect something. When near Sakura, they instantly float towards her and after they are absorbed into her body, she loses consciousness. Only the feathers collected until the Piffle Arc are listed.
#1
found in Hanshin Republic, originally given to Fay by Fei Wong
This feather returns warmth to Sakura's body, but does not wake her up. No memories have been returned.
#2
found in Hanshin Republic, in Masayoshi's kudan
This feather wakes Sakura up, but leaves her in a trance-like state because only two fragments of her soul have been returned to her. She asks Syaoran, "Who are you?" Syaoran tells her she is the princess of Clow, that they are searching for her feathers and that he is someone from her world. It was previously inside Masayoshi's kudan, a spirit or god who protected Masayoshi and his friends, but went out of control because of the magic in it. No memories have been returned.
#3
found in Koryo Country, taken from Ryanban
A barrier created by this feather kept intruders out of the Ryanban's castle. The Ryanban held the feather in a crystal ball and abused its power on his subjects. It contained the memory of Sakura's 7th birthday and her first meeting with Syaoran. She tells Syaoran about the former.
Sakura's birthday
Yukito: Best wishes on your birthday... Princess Sakura.
Sakura: Thank you so much, Yukito-san!
Touya: We don't have enough food here, do we? For an appetite as big as yours?
Sakura: I could never eat this much!
Touya: Nope! It's a light lunch for you!
Sakura: You're my big brother, and you still lie like that! I could never eat all this! It's true!
Yukito: Prince Touya...
▓▓▓: It's a good feast! We should eat it.
Yukito: The head cook said that this cake is his best work ever.
Touya: He also said that it was all for your birthday.
Sakura: Really? The cakes that the head cook bakes are the most delicious ever!
And, um... I really want to thank you for coming!
The fact that I can spend my birthday with you, ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ makes me really happy!
meeting with Syaoran
Sakura: Father!
Clow: Princess Sakura?
Sakura: I'm sorry! You have a guest?
Fujitaka: Hello, Your Highness.
And please allow me to introduce my son...
There is a gap in her memories and his son cannot be seen
Sakura smiles.
Clow: He's about your age, isn't he?
Would you like it if he were your friend?
She nods.
Clow: Now listen, Princess Sakura... That boy has gone through a lot of hardship. So much, that not even he understands how hard it was. Ever since he met Fujitaka, he's changed for the better little by little. But a part of his heart is still frozen solid. What that boy needs is something warm to melt the frozen sections of his heart. Something... like a smile as warm as sunshine in spring.
#4
found in Jade Country, in Princess Emeraude's castle
The feather kept in the castle protected all the children Princess Emeraude called to her castle from a terrible disease. Princess Emeraude's ghost told Sakura that someone has been constantly watching her.
#5
found in Idol Country, given by the... bunny people
Sakura spoke to a tornado that cannot move because of some great power. Later, they learned that a feather fell from the sky and the bunnies picked it up. They handed it over to Fay. Around some time after this, Sakura tells Syaoran about her memories of the circus. I'll assume that a considerable number of memories have been returned at this point.
#6
found in Shura Country, in Yasha-ou's spirit
The spirit of Yasha-ou possessed the feather in order to keep fighting Ashura-ou. Once Ashura-ou defeated him, he gave the feather to Syaoran.
#7
found in Piffle Country, won by Sakura in the Dragonfly Race
Piffle Princess Co. found this feather. Princess Tomoyo of Nihon instructed her other self, Piffle's CEO Tomoyo Daidouji, to give the feather to Sakura and company, but soon after that, rumors of it being an infinite source of energy spread all throughout the country. Sakura won the feather in a race Tomoyo organized.
