Play Time!!!
Found a story from quite some time ago ((when I was still living with dad)) that I thought I had lost. It amused me and ended up with a few sketches so if you're interested you can take a look.
Yup. That's the main guy. He's actually pretty damn tall and in his late 20s. And yes, there is actually a reason he has to show that much skin.
You see those tattoos? Well, they only show up when he's using his magic. And they give off energy. If clothing was there it would melt into his flesh ((as he found out rather young)) and that HURTS! So, he's stuck with this?
Other mages don't have this problem though. See, they're all known magic types and over the years different fabrics have been made that can withstand the flare-up of their magic. Kaiden does NOT use a known magic so there is no fabric available and even if there was, he doesn't have any money to get it.
So he's stuck with this outfit:
Which annoys him to no end because people always want to buy the wrong type of service from him. It amuses his little guardian though who is this guy!
Yup, he showed up when Kaiden lost his parents at a very young age and has been guiding him through life. He has an ulterior purpose (of course) and does his best to keep Kai dependent on him. ((like teaching him an ancient language instead of the modern one...which helps when exploring ruins but not much else, not letting him stay in one place or get attached to anyone, etc...)) He does care about the guy, but he has plans and he needs to stick to them.
Oh! Yes. The reason Kai is not a known magic is because his parents shouldn't have been able to have him. When a mage wants to have a child, the other parent has to be either someone in their own elemental range or else have NO magic at all. Kai's parents were Earth(mostly plant-manipulation) in his Father and Water (rainstorms) in his Mother.
And somehow they had Kaiden. He's not fully sure what exactly his magic is yet. He can mostly use it if he pictures it in physical forms ((for attack and defense)) and he has very VERY limited access to otehr elements, but NONE of the protection that those elements would normal give. So he can get burned, drown, freeze etc...
Also, since there is no source to pull power from, it pulls it from Kai himself, which no one realizes yet and this leaves Kai rather thin and not as healthy as he should be.

Moving on! We have this guy!
He WAS the Prince of the Land....but he didn't really like what outside forces ((and inside)) were doing to his people and home. Yet, the law/customs/etc didn't let him protect his people as he saw fit.
So he created his own force to deal with them.
And....I'll stop here for now because I need to go eat.
But yeah. It was just something I had randomly wrote notes and little fics and such down for. Was just going to put in back on the shelf after smiling over the fact that I had found it again but Kaiden screamed 'Hey! Draw me!' and I was like "I don't even know you!"
'So figure it out.'
"But..."
'Do it!'
And so....I'm trying. Not fully pleased but, we shall see what happens next.
