It's become a habit that when he walks into a new place alone he proceeds with caution. The rocking surprises him a little, but he gets used to it a few steps in. Finding Medea, however, was fairly easy, he just had to follow his nose. He had opted to try wearing modern clothes, a dark blue top with black trousers and jacket.

When he walks in, both hands behind his back, he inhales deeply and makes an equally low noise of appreciation. "It smells absolutely wonderful."

"It ought to taste as good. Here, would you help me with carrying this all to the table? It’s out on deck. Ladderwell’s past here and to the left.” Besides the meatballs, she’s made a spinach egg casserole, a pepper slaw and some fresh-baked rolls with a stick of pale white butter laid out on a dish beside them.

"The wine will go up on the table as well. The roses...do I even have a vase in here?" There's a moment of scrounging before she finds a ceramic pitcher that'll serve well enough as a vase.
