Just got back from taking Maura to Clark, and although I didn't have to get up till nine, I'm incredibly sleepy. I think it has something to do with classical music and driving, but at least I got home in one piece ( Read more... )

Well, I don't usually get into fics, especially not HP fics (mostly because I don't have enough time..) but....don't leave us hanging! Rose, ever since I read your stuff in eighth grade I have aspired to be as convincing a writer as you. You really amaze me sometimes. :) You rock my socks! :)

Thank you very much for the compliments, Sarah, but again you're really too generous about it. I've read at least a little of your writing, it was very good, and I think you could certainly aspire to write much greater than I do. I am glad you liked my fic, but I must tell you, finishing stories is the bane of my existence. I don't think I've finished one in years. Hope that'll change soon.

Ah yes...that which they call: an ending. Yeah, never works for me either. Of course it would be great if I could get a plot to start with. I can always get great characters and usually good places but plot is something that still mystifies me. :)

My plots are generally pretty minimal, but I think it might help if you tried writing a scene that just comes to mind. I find it's best that you don't understand what you're writing until you've written enough of it to get a start. It might not be the beginnings of a great epic, but it's good practice at any rate. If you have anything you've written, I'd love to read something.
