Happy new year! I hope everyone had a good NY Eve and I'm really looking forward to 2008. Last night was very relaxing and fun. spriteydoo and alpaca15 came up and we went to That Cuban Place for dinner, took a walk around downtown, and came back here for board games and the first few episodes of season 1 of Futurama ( Read more... )

Have you been using the dvd's? I just ordered a couple more, dance and yoga/dance; I'll preview them and let you know how they are.

No, I haven't used the DVDs yet. I went for an hour long jog/walk this afternoon. I've also been using this twisty board Rob got me.

That's cool! It's good to have a variety of things to do so you won't get bored. Just as long as you do something every day - that's the important thing, getting the exercise mentality in place.

Nick and I registered! We bought Nick some jogging pants, too. We went for a run-walk this morning, but it was mostly a walk...I think we're going to jog a little longer tomorrow night.

I'm excited!!!!

By the way, great party last night! Very chill and pleasant...one of the best New Year's parties I've been to in a while. (Though I'm in Futurama withdrawal now...guess that's better than a hangover, though!)

I went on a jog/walk this afternoon for about an hour. Alternating jogging and walking is the easiest way to do it, in my opinion.

Thanks for coming last night!! I had a good time, although you should have taken some of the snacks with you because I have too much left over.

Good news for you about the Futurama withdrawl: now that Adult Swim's contract as run out and Comedy Central is taking over, Comedy Central is starting to show Futurama tomorrow night at 8! Following with a marathon on Sunday, and then starting to show an episode at 9 every night thereafter.

I just got and tried a dvd in The Firm workout collection. It wasn't really a dance workout, but there were a couple dance and dance-like moves, so it was pretty fun. It's reallly fast paced though. They 4 fast counts of a move and then move on to the next move and do like 5 different moves and put it together into choreography. I couldn't always keep up, but once I get the moves down it'll be a really good workout. If you like dance at all I think I'd recommend it.
