But it's just such a coincidence about this post - because my oldest daughter has a reading project assignment of reading a scary book.
I went through all my books and pulling out a BILLION Stephen King books, Dean Koontz and of course Anne Rice - and my daughter was COMPLETELY un-impressed after reading all the jacket covers... she said.. "These aren't scary."
I was like.. wha.. what... WHAT!?!
Excuse me little girl -- but IT - is SCARY.
Children today are so jaded... she even called me "lame". That really hurt.

Seriously, have her try "The Serpent and the Rainbow." Scared the living crap out of me. WARNING: I haven't watched it a second time (due to the crap scaring and all) but in 1989, that was some scary stuff!
