Take one sip if:

- The fic has a PG-13 rating.
- Procrastination occurs.
- A female character meets a male character who annoys the hell out of her but ends up with him anyway (If it's Cho Chang, don't drink).
- Two characters who secretly fancy each other get into a snarky argument.
- Male characters get drunk but somehow act more adorable than like obnoxious, argumentative arseholes. If cross-dressing and singing I Will Survive counts as adorable :D
- A character is under the influence of either alcohol or a spell/potion of some sort and confesses their feelings to the object of their desires.
- The phrase "He turned a Weasley shade" exists somewhere.
- Someone checks out someone else's legs.
- Someone walks around a corner (Corners seem to be unusually abundant in Hogwarts, or at least in my fics).
- A heterosexual interhouse (ie. Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff) relationship occurs.
- A heterosexual rarepair occurs.
- There is a higher than normal percentile of attractive characters in the fic. *cough Slytherin Quidditch players cough*

Take four sips if:

- The fic has a R rating.
- An intrahouse (ie. Gryffindor/Gryffindor) pairing occurs (Take another sip if it really is Gryffindor/Gryffindor. If it's Harry/Ginny, down the whole bottle).
- A slash pairing occurs (Take one less sip for every Hufflepuff it involves. If the Hufflepuff is Cedric Diggory, don't drink at all).
- Neville is shipped with someone other than Ginny.
- Two characters get up to suspicious late night exercises and wake up their housemates.
- One of the Quidditch captains arrange trainings at the crack of dawn, thus exhausting and pissing off their teammates.
- An ugly character who is not a villain exists.
- Snape gives a detention to a Hufflepuff or a Ravenclaw.
- Cedric Diggory is straight.
- The fic does not have "humour" or "romance" somewhere in the plot summary.
- There is an animagus somewhere in the fic.Knock back the entire bottle if

- Marcus Flint, who is generally a dodgy git in canon, suddenly comes off as a none-too-handsome but a still smooth and snarky lover boy (Take another sip if he's shipped with a Ravenclaw).
- All the Slytherins are actually good guys, though not necessarily nice guys.
- A pureblood is macking on a Muggleborn. Or vice versa.

I hold you responsible for my Marcus/Penelope shipping ;p Plus your fic was the first Roger/Cho pairing I'd read, so that kind of shapes how I see the couple (even JKR copied you in OotP ;p). And rarepairs are just so much more fun to do than the more orthodox, established ones. More room to manuvere, I suppose.
