So, yeah. I'm feeling pretty much SAD in the extreme. Like, I have a net +6 on life right now and still feel pretty crappy. And I know it's just biochemical and that it'll totally get better but eww.
And...English class? Well, Ms. Kish has just announced that from now on we will be submitting papers for the class through TurnItIn.com. She told us all about how it will make the paper turnaround quicker and how it'll be sooooo much more convenient. Just happened to mention in passing a little bit that it's an anti-plagiarism site. Didn't even explain or tell us anything about the fact that our papers, once submitted through this service, will sit in some electronic warehouse at this site for the rest of time? Look, I don't plagiarize and I don't like people who do. But to have her announce that she's going to start using this website and try to make it look like a just-for-convenience thing? I'd really rather not risk my paper getting lost in cyberspace. I'd really rather not risk some accidental plagiarism or coincidence happening to me. I'd like to know in more exact terms how their system works before I entrust my papers to it. The damage of a false positive would be devastating enough that I just want to take a closer look. And hey, probably there's nothing wrong with the site and everything'll work out peachy keenly. I'm just overreacting...right?
EDIT:
This just made my day...
