I just hope this isn't a false sense of security.

It's not--I felt it too..and was only off by 10 points. So congratulations for the 800 in advance! :-P

:-/ I have to retake the literature, I'm scared. Do you have any recommendations on studying to make sure I can do it all in that hour?

Also, haha, you ear criminal. :-P

If timing is the problem, I'd recommend getting a BUNCH of practice tests. Do the first one as fast as you can while still being reasonable about reading it, and see what score you get and how long it took. If your accuracy wasn't good enough, try the next test, a little slower, and see how your score is. Keep slowing down, little by little, until your score is good or until you hit an hour.

I guess the other thing that might help is reading up on those weird literary devices so you know what they are faster and can spend less time on those questions. But I think just doing some practice tests (maybe one a week) to find a good balance between speed and accuracy should help a lot.

Thanks for that advice. The thing is, the official collegeboard book only has one practice test for each subject. Where would I find more?

But..how do you know which devices?

Some other companies (like Kaplan or Princeton Review) have Literature prep books with 6 or 8 practice tests. They'll also have sections with stuff you should study. Good luck!

Ugh, good thing you didn't get them pierced with a gun. Next time ask me, i'll do it for free! And i won't use a gun, which is the most common cause for infection! :-D

I think I have just about enough holes punched through my skin. For now, at least. But thank you for the offer.

And what qualifies as a gun versus not? It was this little white thing, with the front of the earring on one side and the back on the other, and she just snapped the pieces together through my ear. So it definitely didn't look like a gun, but it wasn't a needle either. I dunno.

I think that is what a gun is. And I think guns are actually supposed to be more hygienic than needles..I atleast assume so because my doctor did mine with a gun like what Becky just described.

yup it's a gun. Much less hygenic, sorry Gabs. But if the place looked trustworthy, and because it's just lobes, it's not that big of a deal, especially if you clean them well.
