Sherlock Holmes 60 for 60 Week 6: "The Boscombe Valley Mystery"

Aug 01, 2011 07:30

I stifled a bitter laugh when McCarthy told me of his precipitous marriage in Bristol.  Am I to be eternally surrounded by men who know not their own minds in matters of the heart?  Miss Turner is fortunate; her McCarthy is a free man now in all ways.  Watson’s idiocy, however, has us all in shackles we shall never break.

Oh, I missed this one! And ouch, that's some bitterness there! Great little character piece.

A happy belated birthday to you as well, by the way!

Thank you! I wrote this one first but liked the one I posted to the comm better, probably because it wasn't as angry as this one. I didn't know if posting two on the comm would be kosher or not.

And thank you for my birthday wishes! You're so sweet!

Don't worry about posting to the comm! I'm the mod there, and all I want is more fic, more comments, more action, so it all sounds fine to me. And actually, I've had two for the past two weeks. I've been putting them together in one post. For two, that seems to make the most sense to me, but if you'd prefer them separate, I'm certainly unopposed to it. Just don't spam us with a huge avalanche of posts and we should be fine. ;)

...Holy moly. HOW did I miss this? It's lovely and angry and a perfect 60 words. And you have so much other fantastic fic as well that I haven't seen. Do you mind if I friend you, so I stop missing out? :-)
