Sometimes a little body odor is okay. I am not talking body odor, I forgot to wash, body odor... but simply a personal scent. Why do we have to be so sterile that a simple scent is seen as dirty? Sometimes that scent is just... nice.

That said, I did wash today.... with soap.

After hanging out in the parking lot of numerous Phish shows, festivals, etc etc, I have really come to associate that unwashed smell with a certain level of comfort.

I didn't wear deodorant at all last weekend, and no one seemed to mind.

That's because I couldn't catch my breath long enough to say something.

It is relative. En route to my first rainbow gathering I picked up a few hitchhikers who were headed there as well. They were obviously street kids. I noticed their scent when they got in my car immediately. (it was very strong, I'm guessing it had been at least a week since they last bathed, living outside in the summer) I knew when they got in, however, that I'd soon smell similarly, so I quickly grew accustomed.

After being in the woods for five days, I ran into one of them again... I didn't smell a thing. (and I assure you there was no shower nearby)
