I really appreciate you comment, Kat. Your observations are correct and although I, we, feel this way, thank you for again pointing that it is often a phase....

I miss your companionship also, Kat.

I am glad you responded, Alix. You are totally right, this is normal. Sometimes it is difficult to see the forest through the trees, and it is just as difficult to see your fellow travellers through the big trunks of trees!

Thank you for your opinions, it really made me feel good, and less.... alone in this strange thought-world.

I will always feel a kinship with you.

She also told me she knew I'd be a good tutor because "Denise likes you and Denise doesn't like many people."

I think you've just transitioned into the mindset necessary to do well in med-school and you'll probably stay that way until you're picking apart a living brain.

You know, I think you are probably right. I guess I do kind of need to be a hermit to achieve my goals, sometimes.

I feel this way right now. On the one hand I could go hangout with some new people I just met or I could stay home and study the things I need to spend time studying. This situation is constantly arising and the more time I spend away from people the more hermit like I become.

School will be over eventually and then there will be more time for social life. You aren't alone in the balancing act of friend and studies.
