Well, see the thing about this weekend is that I spent most of it redefining my reality. And as soon as you get used to one thing it changes. I can't imagine being on tour. I don't think it sounds creepy per say...I'm not entirely sure about it, though. If it were creepy you would have said something like "I'm not saving this space for YOUR DNA. Sign elsewhere."
Read: Everywhere you go is going to be focused backward. There are no progressive states--they are all focused on what used to be. That is especially true in the south as well, it's just prettier. We Americans take special pride in our monuments to things past, but it gets a little out of hand and we have trouble coming back to the present.
Go where you feel at home. If you feel like a guest in New York, then perhaps it's not the place for you.

It is the people like you who become New Yorkers. Except, of course, for the people who were born and raised there. But you'll grow into it, I think. So it went a little fast in the beginning. That's okay. And makes for very nice symbolism in your writing.
