For muses_manifesto Prompt 16 - "If you could change one moment in your past..."
One moment in my past?
Considering that my past has been so varied between England and Narnia, that is a hard one to answer.
I think that one of the things I would have changed would have been the fact that I would have tried to pay more attention to Edmund the first time when he came back from that horrid school that Papa sent him to. It was after he started going to that school that he changed and he was no longer the cheerful and friendly Edmund that I had always known.
He was no longer the brother that I knew I could talk to about anything.
Then, when everything with Narnia started, I wish that I had paid more attention to him when I found him there. I should have been able to tell that something was wrong. If I had tried more to talk to him, instead of being so upset that he had lied to Peter and Susan about Narnia, perhaps I could have seen something that told me he had become enspelled by the White Witch.
For I have no doubt that Edmund wouldn't have done most of the things he did after that visit if Jadis had not enspelled my brother in some way.
