Okay, that said, excellent chapter. I really like the way you wrote about her disconceting from herself, like that was her new power. And yet, her new power is herself, since the 'bad guys' got all trickys and had the nano-shot. (But couldn't Forge invent something that would cancel it out?)

Now you have me insanely curious as to why Irene was there at the door.

And I don't whether Irene's motivations ever become suitably clear. She was the one who started off that particular timeline after all. :p
