(no subject)
Set in an alternate universe. Luffy and Zoro are in the same college and they meet after school.
It was slightly after 6pm, the sky was getting dark and the building became more and more quiet. Luffy picked up his bag, a big grin on his face, stood up and headed out the door.
“Ah! What an interesting day that was shishishi, can’t wait to get something to eat.”
All his friends had already left and he woke up to an empty library, the librarian side eyeing him as she sat near the entrance.
“We’re going to close now”
“Ah is that so?” He replied, stretching his long arms high above his head. “Well then, have a nice evening!” he said smiling widely.
“What a strange kid” the woman said to herself as she watched him walk out the door.
He walked across the corridor, with his bag behind his head, still grinning and singing. As he reached the entrance, he was surprised to find a green haired boy standing there looking around. He had seen that boy before, he was quite popular with the girls and was really good at sports.
“Oi. Are you lost?” Luffy asked innocently.
“Why the hell would you imagine that I’m lost just because I’m standing here looking around. What kind of idiot do you take me for?” the green haired boy replied shouting at the top of his lungs. Seriously who is this guy anyway he thought to himself.
“Shishishi you’re pretty weird” Luffy replied smiling broadly. “I’m going to have dinner, come with me” he said.
The green haired boy did not reply immediately, but instead he stood there watching the other smiling boy.
“And why the hell would I go and have dinner with you. I don’t even know you!”
“Haha that’s right! I’m Monkey D Luffy! Nice to meet you!”
“I’m Roroano Zoro.” The green haired boy answered. He found himself slowly warming up to this strange kid.
“So you’re coming then?”
He let out a reluctant sigh and said “Well I’m pretty hungry too, and wouldn’t mind a drink. It’s better than staying around here with nothing to do.”
“So you are lost”
“Shut the hell up you idiot” he shouted back. Seriously who’s this guy he thought to himself again. And together they set off, leaving the building behind, their steps moving along in unison.
“What were you doing at uni at that time anyway? It’s pretty late” Zoro asked, the autumn wind softly brushing his green hair aside.
“Well… haha… I fell asleep in the library” he replied
“What? Are you an idiot or something?
“Says the guy who can’t find his way home” Luffy replied laughing even louder. “Man, you’re quite funny Zoro… I like you!” he said grinning.
Zoro stood still for a minute, staring at the young boy in disbelief. “I like you?” what the fuck does that even mean. What’s wrong with this kid? He thought to himself.
“What’s wrong? Are you lost again?” Luffy asked in a perplexed tone.
Zoro found himself smiling back at the young boy. “You’re a strange boy” he said, and it was then that he noticed the scar under his eye. He was curious about this boy… this Luffy. But he chose not to speak and instead followed him as he walked ahead. “So where’s this place we’re going?” he asked

“I don’t know” Luffy replied matter of fact.
“What? You don’t know where you’re going and you‘re just walking like that? Jeez” Zoro was once again confused by this strange boy.
“Don’t worry about it we’ll be fine shishishi, there are lots of places where we can eat right? We’ll just pick one that looks good” Luffy said, smiling broadly again and revealing a set of perfectly whiteneded teeth.
“Well I guess.” Zoro shrugged.
“What’s your favorite food? Mine is MEAT. Haha all kinds of meat lots of meat is good.”
“Is that so?” Zoro said amused by the boy “I don’t really have a preference. I like all sorts of food…”
And the two continued to walk as the sun descended beyond the horizon.
