I think i have hit the end of innocence. Either that or im just becoming a synic in my old age, but im begining to noticethat love has never done anyone anygood in the long term. I can think of no examples where at least one person isnt hurt by love. Can anyone prove me wrong

Yeah but you don't understand do you? you haven't actually been in love the way that other people have, but if you had you would know that love is so amazing and brilliant that people are prepared to go through hard times for it, and yes, love can hurt, but there are 100 happy memories for each bad one, and so that makes it all worth it.

To be fair I think you shouldn't go on so much about things that you don't really understand, harsh as it sounds.

who has been hurt with the me-max relationship? ok, there's people like sam who get annoyed at times, but nobody is being actually hurt by it. and whatever happens between us now, even if we end up splitting up, i will be happy to know that the time i've spent with him has been the best i've ever had. that's enough to make it a good thing, surely? it's made me a much happier person, determined to do well and be cheerful and successful. That will definitely do long term good.

You know jack, it'd be nice if for once you just let people get on with their 'love lives' in the way that they choose, intead of with you thinking that you have to try to sort everyone out and educate them all of the time. The people who you're trying to get at are all older than you, know more about this sort of thing than you; just accept that we're right and you're wrong for once.

And anyway, why should Max and Amy have to be less 'clingy', as you put it, just to stop you from getting bored? That's a bit unfair is't it? Or selfish is more the word, I think. Can you not remember what you and Lizzi were like at Koiny?
