Silly survey thing. Just keeping my typing fingers limber.
1. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? My name was chosen mostly because it has a lot of possible nicknames. The way my mother tells it, my parents wanted me to have as many identities as possible to choose from. It worked, too: I went by "Katie" until I hit puberty, and then switched over to "Kat" because I felt that it was more grown up. It's entirely possible that when I'm older and want to be taken even more seriously, I will default to my full first name, as it is somewhat distinguished. (Another story, however, states that my parents were influenced in their baby-naming schemes by the 80s sitcom Kate & Allie, which I have never seen.)
2. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? Earlier today, I shed a few tears. I was listening to some of Scott's music. Before that, a couple of nights ago I was ranting about social justice and how fucked up the whole world is. That can get me going.
3. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? It's decent and readable.
4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT? I usually get turkey because it's more consistently edible. I love good roast beef, though.
5. DO YOU HAVE KIDS? Not currently.
6. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? That clearly depends on which other person I am. What this question is really trying to ask is "Do you think of yourself as likable?" The answer to that… Well, it still depends. Damn.
