I thought I had a chance at making Animazement and A-Kon after all, even without any prep time, but today I formally surrender. I can't get my real world paperwork done in time, let alone process all these orders and mail them off AND find time for con prep. Want to hear the final straw

Don't cancel your tables just yet. Give yourself a day or two of rest before you make the decision. I've done that before, and then later regret it.

*hugs* I feel your pain though. I just adopted a 5 year old dog. I typed this whole message with her head weighing down one of my arms. They're fun!

How much did the Captain's tooth cost last time? Probably won't be able to make the cons happen, but at least as far as the dog I'm gonna see what's up. I smell a fundraiser!

Honestly, I'm not surprised you feel so drained after Nebraska. That was a lot of shit for anyone to go through, and with the Captain's newest tooth problem on top of it, nobody can blame you for throwing in the towel.

Though I'm sure folk would be willing to help out the Captain if you asked 'em to.

My friend whose a vet tech had a suggestion about paying for the dental work.

She suggested you see if your vet has a care credit system and if you can apply for it. In her words : "is a special kind of credit servive for medical expenses, animal or human, most vets have the applications for it, and if you don't get aproved for it most vets will work out payment plans and/or take a post dated check."

Apparently its fairly low interest and is applied to a specific procedure and paid off later.
