Chapter 55 - NEW
He almost couldn't believe it when he saw it - of all the places they'd chosen to go, and of all the people they'd run into - was this some kind of sign? Too soon he could tell his mother knew something was up. She looked around and suddenly then her eyes had found the person he'd been staring at, and precisely because she was his mother she'd grabbed his hand and pulled him along after her. He had no escape now.
At just the perfect moment Katya turned around (as though she'd sensed him) and stared into his eyes, obviously surprised. “Lukas, what a shocker!” Her eyes then suddenly shifted from Lukas to the woman beside him. “And if I'm correct, you are Christina! I remember meeting you.”
Christina smiled and reached out to hug the younger woman before her. She really did think that this Katya seemed like a good match for her son, and she wanted to appear as approving as possible. “Look at that, the dear remembers me!” Christina enveloped the younger woman in her arms, while looking at her son and winking before pulling back. “Katya, isn't it?”
Katya nodded, before looking at Lukas with a slight grin. She couldn't help but laugh just slightly. This must be awfully awkward for him. “It's nice to see you again! I guess you must be visiting?”
“Yes dear, we're leaving later tonight, going to see some relatives in Poland. We were just out to have some lunch, why don't you join us?” Christina didn't bother asking her son if he was okay with that - if she had her way, they'd be leaving the pair alone after the meal and heading to the airport. She'd gladly take a taxi if it meant Lukas could continue his night with this gorgeous and sweet woman.
Katya fixed her gaze on Lukas, wondering if his mother was pushing things more quickly than he'd like. He finally met her gaze and she could tell from just a minute look that his mother was totally doing this of her own accord, and she felt like laughing. She could always save him the embarrassment and say that she had to be back at work, but she couldn't help but admit that she was awfully curious about his parents. Plus she had been dying to see him again. So she shrugged. “Why not? I have a bit of time to kill.” She grinned at Lukas and felt like laughing when he glared slightly at her. This was probably going to be more entertaining than she could hope for.
“Oh how wonderful! Isn't it just fabulous, the way things work out sometimes?” Christina smiled at Katya before prodding her son in the ribs, who smiled and nodded his head. While he wouldn't have minded running into Katya on his own, seeing her with his parents was bound to be a disaster! And what if someone took a picture and sent it to Bild? How could he possibly explain this to Bastian?
“Have you decided on a place to eat yet?” Katya asked Christina, who shook her head.
“Not yet, dear! We were just going to wander until we found a place that looked nice.” They were then rejoined by Waldemar, who seemed to recognize Katya from the pictures.
“Well, well! I remember this lovely young lady,” he said, offering her his hand. She took it and was about to shake it in greeting before he pulled her hand up to his lips and kissed it. “Still just as beautiful as the first time we met you!”
It was all Katya could do to not burst into laughter, especially when she looked at Lukas, whose expression was one of pure mortification. She really ought to say something to make things a little easier on him, but she was just far too amused by his parents. “Thank you! I can see where Lukas must have inherited his charm from.” She winked at Waldemar before looking at Lukas, who was trying to control his facial expressions a little better now.
“Oh you're so true, dear! Both of my men are quite the charmers!” Christina laughed and Katya grinned at Lukas, who was biting his lip. She took a moment of the parents looking at one another to shrug her shoulders as if in apology to Lukas, who responded by narrowing his eyes and shaking his head. She knew he wasn't really upset with her, and she could tell that if his parents were acting this way now, they must have been talking about her already.
“Oh hey now gang, what about this place? This looks nice,” Christina peered in the window of a cute French restaurant.
“It looks adorable, Christina. Should we give it a try?” Katya decided that she would glean the most amount of amusement by sucking up to Lukas' mother, so even though she didn't really like French cuisine that much, she pretended that she did.
“Whatever the ladies want is good with us, huh son?” Waldemar nudged Lukas, who nodded and smiled politely. He was stuck in this mess of a dinner now, whether he wanted to be or not.
An hour had passed and they were now waiting for dessert to be brought out, and Lukas was torn between wanting to kill his parents and wanting to kiss Katya for being able to handle their inquiries with such ease. The worst had been when Christina had remarked (after finishing a second glass of wine) that in her opinion, Katya would make a lovely daughter-in-law. Lukas had almost spit his water out, and even Katya had had the grace to be shocked into silence for a few seconds before smiling and saying that it was a little early to be talking about that, but that she was happy they thought so highly of her. She'd made some comment about their parenting and how Lukas had turned out so wonderful, which had made Christina blush and signal the waiter for more wine.
Now they were thankfully silent for a few moments as they each consumed their desserts. His mother was savouring a baked apple crumble, while Waldemar and Katya had decided to opt for the crème brulée. Lukas was having some pastry with strawberries that he hadn't even bothered ordering himself - his mother had told the waiter to bring it when he'd refused dessert, saying that the season was over now and he could indulge for once.
He was grateful for the silence, though it was allowing him to contemplate other things he didn't want to be contemplating at the moment. His parents approved of Katya so strongly that he was almost willing to consider that they had hand picked and placed her themselves at the hospital, hoping for a spark. They would never feel this way about his relationship with Bastian. The best he could hope for would be for them to simply accept it at all. He'd never be welcomed to the family (at least not as Lukas' partner) even though his parents did like him. They would always regard him as the man who'd converted their precious son away from the righteous path in life.
And how could he possibly tell them now, after they'd fallen in love with the idea of him and Katya? He didn't think his parents would accept that he wasn't even in a relationship with her. At least not a serious one. No matter how much he thought about it at times.
He looked at her and was surprised to find her eyes on him, and her smile was so genuine (and a little apologetic if he wasn't mistaken) that he couldn't help but smile back and lose himself for a second in her eyes. She really was his perfect match, as far as a woman went. Why couldn't they have met before the accident? If he'd already been in a relationship with her, then Bastian never would have had to stay and look after him, and he and Daniela would still be together, and instead of he and Bastian going away on vacation together, it would be the four of them, a double date vacation.
It would have made everything so much easier.
“So, I think we can assume that your mother likes me.” Katya couldn't help but make the comment, looking back at Lukas and grinning.
Lukas shook his head, and was torn between frowning and smiling. “Where on earth did you get that idea from?” he asked her sarcastically. He couldn't help but be worried after lunch. While he had actually enjoyed it (at certain points when his mother wasn't overreacting), he was also worried that it would send the wrong message to Katya. If it was even the wrong message. He honestly wasn't sure anymore.
“Oh, I don't know,” she jokingly answered, “I think it may have been the part when she told me that I would make a lovely daughter in law.” She couldn't help but laugh. Lukas' mother had been the most obvious person in the world, and while Katya had found it amusing at first, she had started feeling a little bad for him. But only a little. “Don't worry,” she told him, “I know how mothers operate. I'm not expecting a marriage proposal or anything.” She winked at him and hoped he wouldn't consider her comment to be too forward.
Lukas just shook his head and wasn't sure what to say. What should he say? “Thank you, for not being weirded out by my parents.” He wasn't sure if it was the right thing to say, but it was the only thing he could think of saying at the moment. She seemed to understand, though, and he appreciated her all the more for it.
“Don't mention it, you forget I have to deal with parents on a daily basis. It might not be the same situation, but you learn how to talk to them after a while.” They finally arrived at her apartment building (his parents had insisted on taking a taxi to the airport, so he'd told her he would walk her home) which they now stood in front of. “You busy, or do you feel like coming up for a while?”
Lukas hesitated before answering. He wasn't busy (he wasn't due to meet up with Bastian until much later, and even then Lukas was supposed to call him first to confirm his parents were really gone) and he didn't really feel like spending all afternoon alone with time to think about the past few days with his parents. But would it really be smart for him to be alone with Katya right now?
“Don't get too excited at the offer,” she commented, her voice laced with an amused sarcasm.
Lukas looked at her and couldn't help but grin at the expression on her face. “You don't live with your parents, do you?” They both laughed at the joke before Katya confirmed that her parents gratefully lived outside of the city. So once again throwing caution to the wind, Lukas accepted her offer. Maybe he'd even tell her about his relationship with Bastian. Maybe.
Two hours had passed (in a bit of a blur to Lukas) and they were sitting on Katya's balcony, watching the sun starting to slowly set on the horizon. Though he'd been a little nervous before coming up, once they'd gotten inside and she'd shown him around and they'd sat down to talk, he'd felt as comfortable as ever around her. It was easy to talk to her, after all. Even when he didn't have anything to say, she was easily able to come up with some new topic or story to get him started again.
He was telling her about Koln, because she'd never been and was curious. He told her he'd take her for a visit one day (and was so caught up in the moment that he'd forgotten to feel bad about promising her something he realistically could never fulfill) and she told him she'd hold him to his promise.
They were standing up now, and she was pointing out her favourite view of the sunset from her balcony. He was standing behind her, not thinking as he slid his arms around her, leaning his head against hers. It felt so comfortable, to be able to stand out on a balcony in the middle of the city, and not give a second thought to someone seeing him, because seeing a man and a woman standing together was so common that no one would look twice and notice that the man looked kind of like him (if they could even make him out on the fifth floor).
Much the same way it had happened the last time, Lukas allowed himself to get so wrapped in this little world he was exploring with her that he pushed everyone else out of his head. All he was thinking about right now was her, and her body felt so good against his, her skin unbelievably soft, her hair like silk in his fingers. He kissed her neck and the way she responded, how she held his hands and pushed back against him drove him just a little crazy.
After a few minutes of standing like that she managed to slide out from between him and the railing and pulled him inside the apartment after her, making the excuse that she needed a refill on her glass of wine. He grinned and followed her to the kitchen, watching as she indeed did fill her glass again before replacing the bottle back in the fridge and taking his hand again, pulling him back to the living room. She laid her glass down on a table after taking a sip and suddenly shot towards him, her hands reaching out to rest on his cheeks as she tilted her head up and stood up on her toes to kiss him.
This was the point when he should have had the strength to say no, but he didn't. He'd known it was coming over the past few minutes, he could feel the tension between them rising. There had been enough flirting and smoldering looks shared between them during the afternoon and evening, and he should have known better. But every time that he should have told himself that he was going too far, all he could think about was how gorgeous she was, and how much he loved her smile, and how perfectly she seemed to get every little thing about him.
So when she finally made the first real step, and pushed her lips against his, he was more willing than he had any right to be. He met her lips and eagerly ran his tongue along them, and when she opened her mouth to him he could taste the wine on her tongue, but he didn't mind it. It was sweet and it only seemed to compliment her. Her hands moved away from his cheeks and down his neck, over his shoulders and down his arms. She squeezed his biceps before sliding her arms underneath his (which were now wrapped around her) sliding them around his back.
Now it was his turn to run his hands up her arms, to trace his fingers over the curve of her neck, to wrap around her hair and touch her face. He wasn't sure which one of them made the first move for the couch, but he didn't really care. He gladly followed her there, sinking down beside her and continuing to kiss her, running his hand down her side, teasingly pressing his fingers along the outside of her breasts. The only thing in his mind right now was Katya and her wonderfully feminine body. Her fingers were so soft on his skin, her nails were manicured and not bitten down, her face was unbelievably soft and not at all prickly with stubble. She was as different from everything he'd grown used to over the past month as possible, and he loved everything about her so much that he couldn't (wouldn't) bring himself to think about that other relationship of his. This one felt so perfect and so right, and that little voice in the back of his mind telling him to stop was completely shut down.
A few minutes later found both of them without their shirts, skin pressed to skin. Her chest felt so nice compared to his, and he just wanted to lie there forever with his head pressed to her breasts, so soft and inviting.
She slid out from under him at one point, and he watched with an appreciative grin on his face as she slipped out of her skirt and underwear, leaving them on the floor near their shirts. His eyes roamed over her body and he didn't think there could possibly be a better looking woman in the entire world. Everything about her was perfect, it was everything he'd ever wanted in any teenage fantasies. And when she motioned for him to stand up, he didn't hesitate. The way she moved fascinated him, slinky and with a feline grace, her eyes always on his, always captivating him. She reached out and undid the buckle of his belt, not needing to look down at his jeans to undo the button or the zipper. She pushed them down off of his hips and he somehow managed to kick them off of his feet.
What he wasn't expecting was when she dropped to her knees suddenly, hands reaching out to grab his underwear, pulling it down his legs. She stared up at him from her position on the floor, pressed against his legs, and he could never remember seeing anything so damn hot in his entire life. Who needed porn when you had a hot girlfriend?
Still keeping her face tilted up to stare at him, she trailed her tongue softly along the inside of his thighs, close to but never quite touching his dick. Not yet. Lukas thought it was torture, plain and simple, what she was doing to him. He was overcome with the desire to grab her and throw her against the couch, but he didn't. He just stood there and let her do whatever she had in mind, and he wasn't even coherent enough anymore to worry about the fact that he really didn't have the best track record when it came to holding himself from climaxing early.
And then suddenly, without warning, she moved her head just a little and flicked her tongue quickly out to touch his dick. It was so hot that he nearly came then and there - but he somehow managed to hold it off. And the way she grinned at him, as though she knew the effect she was having on him, it was almost too much for him to handle. But then she trailed her right hand up his leg and touched him, softly, gently, and it was so unlike the aggression he was used to with Bastian that he nearly came again.
She surprised him then by standing up. “I'm having quite the effect on you, aren't I?” She had the slightest trace of mockery to her tone but he totally didn't care. She could say anything to him right now and he'd still be just as hard and just as desperate for release. “We should go to the bedroom, I don't want to get my couch dirty,” she took his hand and he gladly followed her, gasping in shock when she pushed him against the wall suddenly and pressed her thigh against him. She kissed him again, and this time he grabbed her around the waist, his hands gripping her skin while his tongue probed her mouth. She pressed her thigh in between his legs and he pushed out against her, desperate for contact.
She pulled away again and continued down the hall, finally opening the door to her bedroom and waiting inside for him. When he entered she told him to lie on the bed and he didn't ask any questions. She followed him up, crawling up and over him, sitting on his stomach and leaning over to kiss him. His hands slid over her body, down her back and settled around her waist, amazed at how much smaller it was from what he was used to. And when she moved her hips just slightly, so that her ass rubbed against his dick, he couldn't help but move his own hips, desperate to keep that contact.
She broke their kiss and looked down at him, shaking her head. “You're so impatient, Lukas.” She grinned and reached back, readjusting where she was sitting a little. She grabbed his dick and pulled it forward a little, letting it go so it rested upright against her. And still, through everything, she kept her eyes on him, her gaze magnetic. He was surprised he hadn't come yet.
She wasn't about to make it any easier on him, though, because at that moment she started sliding her hips forward, and she could see it from the look on his face that what Bild had printed was probably true - he'd definitely never had his dick in a woman before. And it wasn't even in yet anyway, she was just sliding her lips over it, softly rubbing her clit against him. Chances were very good that when she finally let him in, he probably wouldn't last long, so she needed to enjoy this as much as possible before he came.
Lukas was barely aware of anything else at the moment, barely even aware of where he was. All he could think about was how amazing Katya was making him feel, how perfect she was, how she could drive him completely insane with the slightest touch. He'd never felt so sexually charged before, so amped up and explosive while just lying there on his back. It was an amazing feeling.
The wine coupled with the fact that she had Lukas Podolski on his back in her bed was working wonders on Katya, who felt so damn close to an orgasm herself that she decided it was finally time to properly deflower Lukas. She reached down and grabbed his dick with her hand, positioning the head right against her opening, and she winked at him before slamming down on him, driving him deep up inside her. Her excitement over the fact that she was fucking him (because it was totally like that, she was the one in control) almost made her scream (and it was so hard not to, but she didn't want to chance freaking him out) and she could tell by the look in his eyes, and the way he was breathing, and the way he was gripping her waist (probably tight enough to bruise the skin, but she totally didn't mind) that he was about to come.
And instead of being mean and pulling away like she might have if he didn't feel so good inside her, she continued fucking him until she saw his eyes close and he stopped breathing and he clenched her so hard it almost hurt, and then she felt it herself, that wave of amazing pleasure that spread out over her body, from her toes to her fingertips, and she closed her own eyes and laid down on top of him, lazily kissing his lips before letting her head hang down beside him. They were both breathing heavy, but it felt fantastic.
Lukas wasn't even aware of it when she pulled off of him and got up from the bed. He'd never felt so satisfied in his life, he was convinced of it. She had been amazing, she had felt better than he'd ever imagined it would feel with a woman. It was so different from everything he'd done with Bastian, but it was so good that Bastian was the furthest thing from his mind right now. All he could think about (all he wanted to think about) was Katya.
