- First, you have to make some screencaps from the scene you want to make the icon.
Here you can find a great tutorial by

Its pretty easy to make the screens. I use Power DVD to make mine.

***How to animate the caps (Using Image Ready)***

- Open Image Ready;

- Open all the caps you chose to make the icon (the less layers the better, because its goin to keep your icon with a good size);

- I´m going to use 7 caps to make my icon;

- One by one, drag each cap over the first one. You have to keep them in order, starting with the first one, the first frame of the scene;

- Click on the Crop Tool and enter w: 100 h: 100;

- Be sure you selected the last layer and crop your image;

- Open the animation window;

- In the animation window, click on "Make frames from layers";

- Click "play" to see the animation;

- I think my animation is too fast, so I´m going to change the delay from 0 to 0,1
You have to do that in every single frame;

- Now, in the animation window, duplicate the last layer 3 times;

- Make a new 100x100 balck layer;

- Copy the black layer and past in the last 4 layer on the animation window, but change tha opacity: First: 30%
Second: 60%
Third: 90%
Last: 100%
Change last layer´s delay to 0,5

- Click on 2-UP. Play with the optimazed sizes the find the best one for you icon.

- Go to "File", "save optimazed as..." and you are done!
