Bobby Fischer died today.

He'd been in hiding for awhile now, battled with bi polar disorder and an array of other things but he was a genius. Not willing to say he won the cold war for us, like some overzealous writers, but he certainly inspired people experiencing a lot of fear.

He really was brilliant, perhaps too much so for normal society. His genius aside the man had absolutely batty political ideas, and really hated the US by the end of it. Still and all, attention must be paid, eh?

Bobby Fischer died today. It's crazy. And so was he.

But then I decided it wasn't tactful. Why mention the anti-semitic stuff when you could encompass it all in the euphomistic words "array of other things"?
