Entry #B-4: "Blue"
It's been an interesting couple of weeks.
A new EDIT: FIANCÉ who is now sharing an old secret. A new quarry who is actually quite old and a continuing enemy who is relatively new.
LIST
1. My cough. It's pretty clear now that I have the spores. I really need to get medicine for the disease, eventually, but for now all I can do is accept remedies provided by my housemate Reki. Currently, we're both setting aside money each day for a doctor, and hopefully before the winter is out I'll be able to get this lung problem addressed. For now, I'm able-bodied and far from bedridden, and I will not let a stupid affliction be the death of me.
2. My EDIT: FIANCÉ Reki is very kind. She is a natural born mother, and she knows, through an accidental set of circumstances, that I am L. Sometimes I worry that she trusts others too quickly and easily, or at least that she gives others undeserved chances at times. Two people spring readily to mind: Beyond Birthday and Light Yagami. She invited them both into the orphanage... I am wary.
3. So far... there is no falling-out of a major sort from either the riot or our coffee date. No clear photographs of me made it into the newspaper, so I believe that I am safe.
4. My latest case is actually to track down someone I've known for years. I'm suspicious of the people who assigned me this case, needless to say, but... we'll see.
5. Light Yagami is a killer. He has a gun. I'm GOING to catch him.
6. There is a little girl here at the orphanage whose father was killed the same night that Reki's would-be petty thief was, and whose mother killed herself shortly after. Her name is Marie.
