So I stumbled upon this and decided to comment. I have played in MUD's before. Even helped build a few. I love them and your idea is interesting. However I am a HUGE fan of SecondLife and love it just as much. I found you never ran out of things to explore. I also did a huge amount of roleplay in SL over the past four years and found that it was up to you as the player to make things happen and find your story line. There was no direction like there are in the MUD's. Sure there can be a class system a roleplay currency and even a combat meter in SL but you still have to make the effort to find your enemies and your friends and play it out.
