Been a busy past few days! I woke up Wednesday Morning in Boston, with no idea the Army would want to see me face to face on Friday. Not that it actually saw me, but it did fly me down on orders, released for the day to see my parents. We’re now danger close to Da and Montsae’s wedding, and it’s more then a little cool to see them consolidate their homes together. I’m always a little flushed at how warmly Montsae welcomes me, she really does care for me full out no bars held. I’m not used to that kind of acceptance from many.
It was a total blast from the past to be back on Fort Gordon- haven’t been there sense my SOBC class in 04- same year I met Shana actually. I was only a few rooms down from where I had been staying for the officers course- same room set up, same bed covers, the full nine. It was more then a little creepy in a cool sort of way. Frankly, not a lot of good memories on that post and more then a few bad ones. Eh, joke ‘em if they can’t take a fuck.
So, now I get to add ‘Public Affairs Officer” to my list of can doe’s / certified - next to Hazmat Officer, Physical Security Officer, Retention Officer, Range Safety Officer, Physical Training Officer, NBC Officer, (gave up Training to Moore, waiting for someone to notice there’s no one in the slot and force it back on me), LoD Officer, and some others I don’t even remember because I’m frankly not in the business of keeping track- I just do everything I (or others) can think of.
Commanders brief going on in the next room, so I got to get yelled at by a full bird! Yay! I R good Lieutenant!
LT Struck is out processing in November- I’m not pleased about that at all.
It was good to be in GA, see everybody’s face briefly, got some alone time with my car (Drove to Gordon then back to Atlanta, don’t get to drive solo much), and I always love putting on the uniform. So damn proud to serve. Every time.

Considering becoming a Mason, more on that as it develops.

Little bit out of sorts at the moment. Intense dreams for the last few nights- up late this morning to see Harry Potters midnight release. Tired now, but totally worth a little fatigue, the wait was too long. All for now, on the bounce.
