Amanda Palmer has some experience and looks the part of a street fight victor, but Gaga has improvisation, youth and some serious balls on her side. Sure, Palmer has some out-there songs, but it takes real don't-give-a-fuck-what balls to do and be what Gaga has become. I think that wellspring of confidence belies a deeper warrior spirit that would make all the difference.
