LMAO How on earth does that new car/old sticker thing happen?

I agree about Terminator. Oh, so very much. It inspired a rant like I never really do in my journal over the weekend. Haaaaaaaaaaate. Except Anton Yelchin. Anton Yelchin rules.

I have no idea how the bumpersticker thing came about. 25 years too late, dude!

So I had to look up who that Anton guy was, and yes, he made the movie. Without him it would have seriously sucked, rather than just kinda sucking. ;o)

Having spent the better part of a day reading and researching Sonia Sotomayor's opinions and legal body of work, saying she only got nominated because of her ethnicity and gender is so insulting. I am sure that played a role, but it only could enter the equation because she was qualified in the first place. The sad truth of the matter is that the way the confirmation process is set up the best and brightest legal minds will never ever get confirmed - on either side of the political spectrum. But to say that her best qualfiications are race and gender is just plain ignorant.

I should have been more clear on what I was thinking. I'm sorry I wasn't because I think you completely misunderstood what I meant. What I meant was that it is sad that the only qualifications being talked about are her ethnicity and gender. From MSNBC to Fox news, and the political blogs even, all I've heard is how great her personal story is, and that is why she is so qualified. The media are completely blind to anything else about her, and that is what's so sad. They have mentioned other things, but only in so far as it aides to go back to her life story ( ... )

That makes a lot more sense now. I probably jumped the gun a bit, having had to read a bunch of the more insulting and stupid crap people on the internet were saying about her. Really, flame lobbing internet trolls, if you are going to insult a brillant woman, it would be good to get your spelling right ( ... )

Thanks for the website, I'll check it out. I'm happy to say that the major news outlets seem to be shifting from her personal story to talking about her body of work, which is good. I guess in all fairness, the place to start is someones personal story to get public interest, and I get that. It just seemed to me that people were saying she was qualified because of her story, end of story no questions asked, and that bugged me.

Here's a question you might be able to answer, or illuminate :o): I keep hearing that something like 60% of her rulings have been overturned by higher courts. Is that normal? It seems like a very high number to me, but then what do I know?
