I dunno, he seems to think very clearly, but from the snippets you posted he seems to portray himself as having difficulty dealing with other people. Refusing to answer questions because they aren't phrased quite right is not a very good way of dealing with things. Nor is ignoring cookbooks. Rarely are recipes as vague as he makes them sound; there are very specific measurements and, at least in the cooking I have witnessed and done myself, the terms they use are very clear to people who bother to learn the vocabulary.

He is correct about the mistakes issue, however. It's very hard for a lot of people to make mistakes and get over it.
