Ahahahahahaha, OMG, this book. It... there were so so many parts of it that I just shook my head at. And yet? I... kind of really liked the plotline, and I was happy that Lawrence Miles actually let the plot work through to its conclusion, with Eight getting married. Most authors would have had something dramatic happen to alter the plot before the wedding because zomg Doctor cannot have real attachments happen to him ever. And... And the book covered over a year, where most other books or episodes maybe cover a month at most. And also there was bonus! Master, so that's always handy.
