If you don't want another date, say so. Saying you'll call me in a week then not is just obnoxious and annoying, and a rather lame way to say the date wasn't so good.

My life is currently a romantic dramedy about life after a zombie attack, with a soundtrack of Tom Waits and twee pop.

I guess it could be worse.

I survived! And have power! Yay!

Michelle and Jen are fine, too, though not so much with the having electricity bit.

Yay! Now I really need a shower.

Mom and I are long past the "run around and get ready" part of all this. Right now all there's to do is twiddle our thumbs and wait for this to all be over.

And Ike makes landfall in 5, 4, 3...
