And how young is too young for horse back ridding lessons for Fiona, in your opinion? Is is more a size thing than an age thing?

Anyway, yes, 'twas horse-related; got stepped on by 1,800 lbs of Percheron. Nothing unusual, getting stepped on by a horse, really. However, it's not normally a horse of such...hugeness. So I suppose that makes all the difference. Anyway, it's not as bad as it could be, since luckily (?) this toe has already been broken once before, so I think that helped in some strange way.
And I think Fiona is definitely big enough to ride! I've seen kids as young as three start with lessons, but five or so is pretty much the prime starting age. A good stable will be able to match her with a pony (or a short horse) that will take care of her and be great for learning on. Let me know if you go that route, I will need to see pictures!!
