made today:
Parsnip, leek and potato soup, (served with shropshire blue cheese garnish)
Turnip and potato mash with Venison sausages
The soup had a little dried ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon in, but since the parsnips had slightly caramelised, it was slightly sweet. may have to do something to it to address this since there are two pints left. -

been on a training course today and reassured myself i aint that far from what i should be doing. it seems my recent insecurities are down to a local cultural thing. anyhow, the people were nice. had a long walk around a business park at the crack of dawn though, as the admin who sent the joining instructions did not highlight which building it ( Read more... ) -

Well when i got laid up with the bad back last summer, the garden didn't get done, and to be honest, it has been as much as i can manage to keep the front garden tidy since then. Ah, Autumn...
This may become something of an annual ritual. we've had the glorious twelfth, we've had august bank holiday,and the little kiddies have gone back to school.
So why does birmingham city council and the retail community want to tell me it's fekking Christmas already?
I would just like to tell the following organisations to cease and desist.
