I'm trying to figure out how to send you the post I was gonna email you. It's too long for LJ! LOL! As you probably know now, I'm a Belly dancer. I also make jewelry, mainly from Afghani components, but based in Tribal designs from all over ther world.
I am a hairdresser by trade, and make-up artist. And GAY, if there was any doubt, heehee.
I wrote sort of my life story(I did say it was a very long post)so you'd know where I'm coming from. I want to be friends, but for all the right reasons. I don't do the online drama scene. Seems like you don't either. Plus, we both love ethnic fashion, how groovy is that?
With respect to your online privacy, is there a way I can email you this post? I'm not very proficient yet with a puter. I hope you know a way for me to send this so you are still secure.

I have been a real posting monster lately. Someone else un-friended me because my posts were 'too negative'. I really don't blame her all that much. Globally, things have been pretty bad and I don't shy away from that.

I'd like to know more about your background, it's so interesting! I was in Moldova last year, myself, and concentrated in russian and eurasian studies for my MA.

Finding out more about my background is something I've been doing, actually. I traveled a lot in Eastern Europe a few years ago, going into Bessarabia, the Balkans, the Baltic republics.... I am an adopted child, but know that my family by birth were musicians who played in Paris, Hungary & Romania during the first half of the century. I've actually been researching that past and filling in gaps with a narrative which I hope will become a novel or screenplay, at least that is the end objective, though it may not get that far. There are many gaps in the true story, so to create a continuous story I do have to fictionalize it.

Where are you living now? I am curious, how did you find me? Would you like me to put you on my friend-list?

Hi there. I think I found you through the ethnic costuming group, and saw that you've travelled/have connections to many of the countries I am interested in, as well. I'm living in the US, but have lived/travelled in Georgia, Russia, Moldova, the Czech Republic, and recently Belarus. I've been pretty lucky!

Your work sounds fascinating. I'd be very happy if you wanted to add me to your friends list, and vice versa although I can't claim that I'm ALL that interesting, myself...
