"Where the Turk walks, no grass grows." ~old Greek saying

That came to mind when I looked at these images and read your text. And then I think of some the quite lovely Turkish women I've met. ;)

In the Middle East, Turkish women are considered to be most beautiful.

As for that old Greek saying, the Greeks and Turks still today seem to have a hard time getting along. Just look at the Greek Cypriot/EU debates going on. Neither of them are Angeles IMO, but both cultures have their good things, too.

I don't know. I've never lived in a Harem, contrary to Gerbilsagian fantasy ;-)

Actually, neither women depicted is really huge. Maybe in a single frame the one in black & white looks heavier, but she has several loose fitting wraps. Neither in the films look heavy IMO. The woman in the second film was very striking when she took of her veil. But now you've gotta see the movie....(I'm not certain these movies would fit your taste, though).

If you mean "Is that woman offering a tray of fruit to that man...?" LOL
I just now noticed that! NO, the man is way in the background. It looks right in the film cuz you can see the movement.

That's hysterical :-D
