I think I ready to engage in the entrepreneurial world of business...
I have many ideas that could develop into a great business. However, I have always had one reason or another to NOT get them going. Now, more than ever, I have the extra drive and motivation to make sure that I succeed. Additionally, I have recently secured some help that were not previously available. For example, my $1000 business grant that I recently got.
That $1000 can be put to good use in the business tool sense to give me a jump start to success... For example, I will need business cards and stationary. This is great because this is money that I would have had to come up with and subtracted from the launching of the business can now be covered by this grant! One less concern in covering the basics in the beginning.
Something else that I have going for me is some of the support I would have to have at some point at least at some minimum level. I have spoken to several friends and advisors that I consider as part of my 'discovery team' that have expressed their support. Several of them have offered time and other resources to try and help me with the behind the scenes work that needs to be done, if I need it.
Additionally, now that I have had more experience in development of business plans and models, I am ready to make my own for my own use. I have a wide variety of experience in the workplace, including a large bank dealing with business customers, so I think I am ready for the challenges that business ownership provides. I have many of the skills to do well, now I just have to take action...
Smooth sailing will not be enjoyed for a while, but I am that fed up with corporate crap that I get put through on an on-going basis that I am going to start them part time (with some help) and gradually make more time for the business ideas that I go with and less for my current situation that is leading me to somewhere close to nowhere fast...
Something tells me that now is the best time under the current set of circumstances. I have ideas that actually make sense and could take me to the next level. Once I get there I can step back and assess where things are at and make my next move(s) based on that evaluation. Why keep making someone else lots of money when I can do some much better for myself?
Ready or not, business world here I come...
