Thank you so much for the comment, I'm glad that you enjoyed the post. :)
One of the things I love the most about it is how even though Mulder and Scully spend a good deal of the episode apart, at the end we see that their bond is as deep and secure as it has always been
I totally agree, I love how they hold hands at the end. They kinda play with each others' fingers, and it's such an intimate little moment that it floors me every time.
Thank you very much! :) I totally agree, most songs by VAST are so powerful and emotional that they're perfect for fanmixes, expecially for this show and pairing.
This fanmix and presentation is a gorgeous piece of work. I'm watching X-files for my first time, and aspfghlksjhds;! Love. The show is overall so life-affirming, and the episodes that deal abjectly with mortality are so wrenching. Music only sharpens the blade, in such a wonderful way. 'My Skin' turns out to be such a Scully song - like she's addressing the world, the people of power and/or her god, steeling herself and sort of embracing the role she can't escape - plus I think a touch of passive-agressive tension/confession directed at Mulder. :)
But anyhow, this is so delightfully cogent in theme and mood. Thank you for making this!
