I was productive with my time today. I got up at nine, got online for a while, and around ten I decided it was time for me to get clothes on and head to Starbucks to get some work done. I found a third job I wanted to apply for last night, so I had three job applications/job packets to work on today. I went to Starbucks, had coffee, and did not ( Read more... )

Thank you! :) I hope to hear something this week from either of the two I have already submitted. My discipler was able to get my letter written before she starts another round of chemo this week, and it was BEAUTIFUL. If nothing else, it was such an encouragement to me what she wrote in it. :) I'm looking to get a couple more letters before I can submit my application materials for the student life counselor position.

Thank you! He's really excited and scared and a bunch of emotions at the same time. :) I'm excited to see how God draws near to him during this time, though.

Aww, thank you! Me too. I'm just trying to trust God daily for a job, and it's not always easy ... but I have his peace. :)

Good luck with the job prospects! It's so nice to hear how trusting you are in God's plan for you. Definitely an encouragement! I know He has some amazing things in store for you.

Fireproof was so cheesy and it made me cry too! Haha, I was bawling at that last scene where he comes in and takes care of her while she's sick even though she's ignored him for 40 days. I think we are super fortunate to be loved by men who know Christ's love and follow that example as they love us :)

Aww, thank you. It is SO hard to trust God sometimes. But He has given me an incredible peace about the whole situation. It's unfamiliar, but I'm happy about it!

See ... for a Christian film, I did not think it was that cheesy. I have heard of worse! haha But it was really good. I think that a lot of people could benefit from seeing it, too. You're right - we are so fortunate. :) Ryan called as they stood at the cross in the woods at the end of the movie, and he asked me what I was doing. I told him I was in the middle of a tearjerker, haha. He has heard of the movie, but he hasn't seen it ... so I'm thinking a date night movie sometime. :)

Haha, yeah... no Christian films ever have decent acting or writing, but I always enjoy them. You know when he's talking to his Dad about God and they zoom out and the Dad is leaning against the cross... haaa...CHEESE. But you're right, I think a lot of people could benefit from it though. I think the Love Dare book is a really great read/challenge for any couple.

I saw Fireproof with my Mom. J watched the first 15 minutes with us, and then left because it was too cheeseball for him, lol. Oh, Letters to God was a good not-as-cheesy-but-still-cheesy Christian movie too, you should add it to your Netflix Queue (I saw it on streaming video).

Haha, yeah, I did think that part was cheesy. What do you think about the Love Dare for dating couples? A lot of times I think devotionals or other books like that are great, but they aren't really feasible for Ryan and me right now. We live two hours apart, and right now we're going on a month since the last time we saw each other. This summer it might be once a month that we'll see each other.

I will definitely add it to Netflix. I had heard it was good, but I don't think it's on there yet!
