(And your reasoning is flawed - the article never said that "Manhattan International High School" was her stated school at the time of the doll's creation [there was no stated school back then, "Willows High School" was added in the 60's line of Random House books] - but it was at the time of the creation of the Generation Girl line, back in 1999.)
And I've added it back, now with citation, which I wanted to add years ago but could never find.
Like I said - I had to find the citation first. New York didn't have online archives at the time, I think, and this also might have been before Wikipedia became citation-happy (not a bad thing, just making a note). If I couldn't find the article, I'd have a hell of a time trying to cite the actual book (which I just found) and making comparisons - which might count as original research.
God, I wish I could also cite the original Random House novels, but it looks like Google hasn't scanned them in yet, and even library records are sketchy. Kills me that the library had them when I was a kid and I didn't care.

it's really just to stop people from putting in random facts... it's checked up a lot less than one would think.
