[Finally... This is it. She gets to travel with the Doctor. She gets to see other planets, new worlds, without the Organization looming over her head. No "do this or you'll be destroyed." She still has a mission, and it's still an important one, but she feels so incredibly free that she's not quite sure what to do with herself. This is something she chose to do. She wasn't forced to face facts with her back in the corner. This... This is...]

Beaches?! That world has a beach? Can we go to that one?

[Finally, they get to travel again. And it's about time, too. Frankly, Jamie's been getting a bit bored with the waiting around and not doing anything, and while he knows that there's a chance he'll wind up being bored in the TARDIS as well, at least they'll be going somewhere.]

Aye, well, I don't know. Seems to me if you're going to go and hide somewhere, a planet full of cities would be the best place to do that. Should we not try this Hyne-Savage place first?

[Immediately, Xion almost wilts. She feels so foolish now. Of course, of course, she should be thinking "where would he be hiding," not letting herself get carried away.]

Oh -- ah -- Y-Yes... I suppose you're right...

[He's about to say something, but the lad seems so disappointed by the idea that all Jamie manages to do is open his mouth and close it again. He rubs at the back of his neck for a moment.]

Er, well, then again, maybe he thinks that hiding in the midst of people having a vacation might not be such a bad plan either. And it's not as though we don't have the TARDIS to try both.

[muttered] Assuming the Doctor can get us there in the first place.

[all the way down to the docking bay, Wash can't help thinking and guessing what ship Nathan managed to bring there for Croix and him to use. as he had no idea if anything existed in Croix's world, he focused on ones he knew about and tried running their manuals through his head. (of course, the real one would be far more useful since it's been a while since he's flown anything.) with everything he wants to bring attached to his person and the data chip clutched safely in his hand, he opens the door to the docking bay--]

[--and he stops, surprised by the sight of the Longsword]

U-um, I'm going to need a moment to read the manual again. And I hope FILSS is onboard...

[Croix knew it couldn't be any airship from his world. None of them could go above the Blastline, let alone into space. Even if it could, he'd have to relearn how to fly. Wasn't exactly his specialty, after all.

Regardless, he's ready for this mission. He's sure as hell not leaving his lance or his sword behind, and hell if he's going to be caught without his armor. In fact, because he's just that distrusting of this whole universe they're stuck in, he's kind of hoping their ship is somehow armed, too. Because you never know.

And when the door opens? His jaw drops a little.]

You... You can fly that?

[he nods, walking towards the ship now to inspect it.] Yes. It's been a while since I've been in one, but flying one of these--or any of the other ships in the fleet--is like riding a bike. [a bike he doesn't have to ride unless it's an emergency, but details]

[glancing up, he searches for the thin line where the ramp would be, and once he finds it, he presses a small, discreet button. it lets out a soft hiss as the pressure seals release and the ramp begins to lower]

Okay, go ahead and drop your gear off inside then see if there are any suits your size. I'm not taking any chances of you having no life support if there's a hull breach.

[He nods his understanding, but he's watching the ramp lower in the meanwhile, still in awe. But he knows better than to dawdle, so he makes his way inside as directed and starts looking for a suit. No doubt he's going to get lost in the process, poor kid.

He does eventually find the equipment lockers, though! And as luck would have it, there is indeed a suit in his size! Just... give him a minute to figure it out first...]

I'd love to do a Christmas/New Years thing! And I'm really glad that off-season stuff is actually becoming a thing, especially since I just started my winter break, hehhhh.

(Ichijou will also be glad. He'd never openly admit it, but he does get lonely - and it'll show as he clings and dotes all over anyone who visits.).
