Flynn was so absorbed by his own thoughts and worries coupled with the hazy plan he was trying to hash out for how best to rescue Rapunzel that he didn't even notice Sophie was there until she hurried toward him ( ... )

If Sophie was expecting him to calm down at the thought of Rapunzel being back where they came from, she was in for a surprise. He shook his head almost before Sophie was finished speaking, gesturing quickly for Sophie to stop.

"Wait, hold on." Flynn gestured back toward the town home he had exited from a few moments back. "I can't be that far away from her even if I was moved here while I was out. And if she's where I left her, then I need to get back there now."

Just thinking about how events were playing out while he was conscious -- the expression on the old woman's face and the fact that she had put Rapunzel in chains -- was enough to make him clench one hand before forcing himself to relax. He could do this -- it just took more effort. He had been in worse scrapes before, right? And Rapunzel was a tough kid. She would hang in there ( ... )

Upon regaining ownership of his face and recovering from his depressive bender, Ichijou suddenly became much more prone to being social again. His first priority, reluctantly, was to check and see what parts of the town had been destroyed in the attempts to succeed where Audrey had apparently failed. The results of his walk through town disturbed him - given an hour-long time limit, just how was it that the other residents were able to cause so much damage to such sturdy-looking structures? The town clock in particular bothered him, since it had been destroyed with such precision. How was that possible ( ... )

As caught up on his quest as he was, Flynn hadn't gone completely deaf. Certain parts of his life as a thief required him to pay attention to other people even when he would really rather not. Still, it took a few second for the words to register.

Whirling around, Flynn took in the other guy's appearance quickly. He didn't look like the palace guard sort, though, so he relaxed slightly, but the worry lines didn't leave his face.

"I don't have a lot of time right now," he began, voice a little more clipped than usual, cutting straight to the point. "Have you seen a girl around? Barefoot, purple dress, probably has a frog riding on her shoulder."

He wasn't going to go much more into it than that until he got the man's answer. He still couldn't place the shadow of a person that lurked in his memories. For all he knew, this guy had helped take Rapunzel.

This new fellow's sudden movement caused Ichijou to give a little startled noise as he flinched and nearly dropped his cup of tea. Coming across someone who seemed ready to shank someone was definitely not something that he needed among thoughts that everyone around him would probably want to kill him eventually (and there wasn't a single thing he could do about it, not to mention his security guards weren't even around ( ... )

This time it was Flynn's turn to give the other man a skeptical look. He wasn't sure what the other man intended to do with the... the... Well, he wasn't sure what to think of the CAT. Was it supposed to be some sort of...? He couldn't even think of something familiar to compare it to. A woman's broach?

Shaking that off, Flynn gave a short nod. "Everyone else? If they can help find Blondie, then okay."

Normally he wouldn't ask for help, but this situation called for him to change his ways slightly. He'd teemed up with worse that this man in his life, and there wasn't anything that immediately screamed out that Ichijou was untrustworthy.

"The name's Flynn Rider, by the way." Flynn looked around expectantly, assuming to see a town square or something similar in the near distance. When he didn't spot anything, he turned a quizzical glance back toward Ichijou "Right. So where do we meet everyone else?"

Sitting in the sunroom of her apartment, Fuu glanced up as she heard some faint yelling. That was weird. No one was in the rooms across the way-
But as the man burst out of A-15, she had to admit that it was indeed now occupied.

Jumping to her feet she hurried to the door, but as she stepped out the man was already walking quickly down the street. But unless he was wanting to go to the pool or try the looping road out of town, it was a bit of a dead end.

Running after him, she called out, "Pardon me! Wait, please?"

"Kind of busy!" Flynn called, not turning around immediately.

He strode through another yard before it occurred to him that the girl calling him might have seen Rapunzel. Turning smoothly on his heel, Flynn reversed direction and met Fuu halfway.

Before letting her know who he was looking for, Flynn thought he might make certain the girl wasn't going to call the palace guards on him. Depending on what she wanted, he might be in for a bit of extra trouble in his quest to find Blondie.

Forcing a winning smile into place, Flynn lifted one eyebrow. "Sorry about that. You were saying?"

For all that his smile looked a little forced, it still made Fuu blush and smile in return.

"Ah- I hadn't said much of anything yet, but I can now! I'm sorry if you're in a hurry, but I thought I might be able to help you. You must have just arrived... it can be very disorienting."

(But it was marginally better than falling though the sky and landing on a flying fish.)

Just arrived, huh?

Well, on the brighter side of things, this girl didn't seem like she was eager to bring the guards down on his head. He could work with that well enough.

"I'm not sure about 'just arrived'," he replied, shaking his head as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Am I the only one you've seen today?"

Maybe this girl had seen who brought him here. Or had seen where Rapunzel had gone.

Quirking his lips in a small grin, Flynn continued. "Maybe you can tell me what's going on here."
